सूरह 15 Al-Hijr

1. وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

   And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.

   15:81

2. وَكَانُوا يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ

   And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.

   15:82

3. فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ

   But the shriek seized them at early morning.

   15:83

4. فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

   So nothing availed them (from) what they used to earn.

   15:84

5. وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ

   And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.

   15:85

6. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْخَلَّاقُ الْعَلِيمُ

   Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator.

   15:86

7. وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ

   And We have certainly given you, (O Muhammad), seven of the often repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an.

   15:87

8. لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

   Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to (certain) categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers

   15:88

9. وَقُلْ إِنِّي أَنَا النَّذِيرُ الْمُبِينُ

   And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" -

   15:89

10. كَمَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الْمُقْتَسِمِينَ

    Just as We had revealed (scriptures) to the separators

    15:90

11. الَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا الْقُرْآنَ عِضِينَ

    Who have made the Qur'an into portions.

    15:91

12. فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْأَلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

    So by your Lord, We will surely question them all

    15:92

13. عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

    About what they used to do.

    15:93

14. فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

    Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.

    15:94

15. إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ

    Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers

    15:95

16. الَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

    Who make (equal) with Allah another deity. But they are going to know.

    15:96

17. وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ

    And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say.

    15:97

18. فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُنْ مِنَ السَّاجِدِينَ

    So exalt (Allah) with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate (to Him).

    15:98

19. وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ

    And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death).

    15:99
